Terms and Conditions

Admission

Balter Festival reserve the right to refuse admission in order to maintain the safety or security of others at the event, or if the ticket holder is under 18, or on any other grounds considered appropriate.

Re-admission during the event is at our discretion and is decided on an individual basis.

No admission without a valid e-ticket.

Each e-ticket can only be used once. They each have an individual barcode which will be scanned on entry. Anyone arriving with a ticket that says it has already been used will be denied entry. The organisers accept no liability for tickets that have been duplicated and sold by third party sellers.

All tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.

In the event of cancellation of the festival only the ticket face value will be refunded, not the booking fee.

Admission is at the ticket holder’s own risk. The organisers will not be held liable for any loss, injuries or damages sustained at the event including damage, theft or losses to property and motor vehicles, if the cause is due to the negligence of the ticket holder or the unforeseeable actions of other patrons or third parties.

Security

We will be operating a strict Over 18s policy. Any ticket holder could be asked to provide identification to prove their age. Anyone without ID will be asked to leave and return with valid ID.

Balter Festival is a fun place for fun people. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated! We reserve the right to eject you from the premises and remove your wristband.

Wristbands tampered with, lost, or missing from anyone’s wrist will be rendered invalid and will not be replaced. We buy good quality wristbands, they do not just “come off during the night”. Anyone found without a wristband will be removed from site. All wristbands issued remain property of Balter Festival until Monday 27th May.

Restricted items

Everyone is subject to search on entry and re-entry to the event. Any item which security or the organisers deem to be illegal, dangerous, or that does not follow our rules will be confiscated.
This includes but is not limited to; fireworks, knives, weapons of any kind, laser pens, graffiti spray paint or pens, dogs or any other animals, sound systems, Chinese sky lanterns, fire toys.

Drugs are just as illegal on site as they are everywhere else! This includes Nitros Oxide (laughing gas) and any related equipment.
‘Legal highs’ will be confiscated for your own health.

No glass on site, it’s dangerous during the event and will hurt the animals after we leave. This includes glass bottles and jars!
Decant the contents into plastic and you will be fine, arrive with glass and it will be taken off you!

Small camping stoves are allowed but no BBQ’s or any other fire or gas related equipment.

Alcohol is allowed to be brought onto site on first entry only. On all re-entry attempts alcohol will be removed from the customer.

Alcohol policy

The amount of alcohol you can bring in is limited. We are a small independent and completely non-corporate event so the bar is a vital source of income for us.  Therefore we do have to set a limit on the amount of alcohol brought in to the festival.
This is set at 16 cans of beer or cider/2 large bottles of cider/1 bottle of spirits.
Don’t forget – NO GLASS ON SITE!! All glass bottles will be removed on entry or if found in the event site.

In return though we do have a great bar on site selling very reasonably priced and good quality drinks; from local beers and ciders to Buckfast cocktails. With cold drinks starting at £2.50 you won’t want those warm cans sweating away in your tent anyway!

Vehicles

The car park costs just £20 +bf per car. Please look to share lifts as much as possible to save the environment as well as your money!

The car park will close each evening at 10pm and no one will be allowed access for any reason.

A live-in vehicle ticket is required for anyone who wants to stay in their vehicle overnight. Live-in vehicles must be a van or similar vehicle, with a fixed bed. Sleeping in cars is not permitted and cars will not be allowed into the live-in vehicle field even if you have a ticket for it. You only need one live-in ticket per vehicle, and these are available here.

Live-in vehicles are subject to search as a condition of entry.

No tents or gazebos are allowed in the live-in area.

No sound systems to be used at any time. It seriously effects our license, any persistent users of sound systems will have it confiscated or you will lose your live-in wristbands. In some cases you may be ejected from the festival.
